Salary Range: $18.88 – $20.02
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Supports individual, team or department through practical application of knowledge, use of proven techniques, and adherence to procedures. Primary focus on execution of assigned tasks in a specific area of responsibility, with a non-technical scope and a high degree of customer service.
Under general supervision, performs intermediate-level duties to support general office operations, programs, and functions including: payroll, budget, data management; and maintenance of business records.
– Performs routine transactions, assists team activities, interacts with stakeholders to solve problems or resolve complaints, gathers information, consults with management on actions to be taken in order to support short-term operations and ensure compliance.
– Performs data entry and verification, keeps accurate files/records, creates detailed reports, using various existing systems for accurate, timely, and compliant records.
– Receives, understands, and disseminates information to appropriate stakeholders. Answers questions, solves problems effectively and escalates appropriately. Demonstrates positive, optimistic and service-oriented mindset to ensure positive relations with stakeholders.
– Contributes to identifying process inefficiencies and proposes solutions, identifies opportunities through external research on trends in resources, programs, and services and internal research with stakeholders, and supports improvement efforts in order to support long-term success.
– Performs research, data management, and reporting on school based or department data needs, Organize, extract and input data/information using district applications and other network computer software, protect privacy, confidentiality, student and employee data according to FERPA and district policy.
– Monitor and track invoices and budget expenditures. Prepares and processes purchasing and accounting documents.
– Process payroll and timekeeping requests.
– Compose and edit internal correspondence and documents.
– Coordinate events and logistics for school or department.
– Create tracking systems, update department or school based procedures and processes.
– Provide additional support for other operational needs such as student safety, including delegated nursing duties, according to District training and procedures.
– May provide training and guidance to Office Support I and other staff as directed.
– Respond to administrative requests. Provide information and assistance to various stakeholders which may include DPS employees, vendors, and community members.
– Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– Three (3) or more years’ experience in administrative/clerical work or combination of education and experience.
– Demonstrated intermediate-level knowledge and experience with computer-based spreadsheet, data base, and word processing software.
– Demonstrated experience producing various general office documents, analysis and recommendations.
– Effective time management and organizational skills.
– Effective communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
– The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
– Work collaboratively with others on a team.
– Aptitude for variety and changing expectations and a fast-paced environment.
– Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

– Intermediate proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and other computer software programs.
– Bilingual skills preferred.
Education Requirements:
– High School diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent required.
– Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
