Salary Range: $47,665 – $57,896

  

Essential Functions and Objectives:

 

Supports individuals, teams and/or departments through facilitating and regulating a series of activities and work streams. Carries out specific tasks based on established procedures, to ensure a broader set of priorities and objectives are met. Primary focus on execution of assigned tasks in a specific area of responsibility, with a non-technical scope and a high degree of customer service.

 

Develops and coordinates internships for high school students who receive special education services across the District. Supports work-based learning initiatives to increase alignment and collaboration with local industry.

Provides administrative support and assists in carrying out specific activities, such as: distribution of materials, process documentation, conducting trainings, organizes and submits reports, coordinates responses, develops procedures, and maintaining records and files.

Ensures appropriate key stakeholder involvement in planning, goal-setting, and implementation to achieve buy-in of work products. Ensures purposeful, positive and professional interactions and relationships with all stakeholders. 

Identifies process inefficiencies and proposes solutions, identifies opportunities through external research on trends in resources, programs, and services and internal research with stakeholders, and supports improvement efforts in order to ensure smooth execution with appropriate participation and support across the district.

Coordinates entirety of internship on-boarding process for high school students receiving special education services, including marketing coordination of interviews, and candidate selection.

Creates and revises job readiness curriculum; develops and revises program policy and procedures.

Oversees the intern matching process to ensure an appropriate match with the greatest opportunity for success.

Identifies and develops new internship partnerships based on assessment of ongoing placement needs; maintains and supports existing partnerships with local businesses and organizations.

Performs quality checks on internship sites to ensure safety and quality experience for both the student and business partner.

Develops and/or continually improves system for tracking internship paperwork and develops and updates training manuals, business and student-facing marketing materials and other internship-related documents.

Develops orientation training for partners.

Works to better align District pathways to local industry certifications.

Attends sector partnership meetings.

Develops pipelines from training and certification to career and recruits businesses to partners for pipeline to certification work.  

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Two (2) or more years of experience in youth development, urban education, non-profit management, social work, psychology, or related field.

Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license or be able to obtain a Colorado driver’s license within the state’s required time frame for new residents and meet the District’s insurability requirements.

Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as Google Workspace.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Effectively handles multiple demands and competing deadlines.

The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with business partners, school staff, and community agencies.

High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

Must have reliable transportation; may be required to transport students across the District.

Demonstrated ability to develop successful youth development programs with an emphasis on work-based learning initiatives, preferred. 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience is required. 

Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Human Resources preferred.
