SALARY: $21.04 hourly minimum
STATUS & HOURS: Full-time, regular (approximately 2,088 annual hours) position.
BENEFITS: Eligible to participate in the State Employee Group Insurance Program and a retirement program with employer contribution. Generous vacation and sick time accruals with additional paid holidays.

DESCRIPTION: This position exists to assist the Chief Development Officer (CDO) by performing high-level administrative and communication duties to support the work of MNHS in raising private funds from individuals, corporations and foundations by utilizing strategy, best practices, volunteers, Executive Council members and excellent communication.
SUMMARY OF WORK: 1) Provide administrative and clerical support for their work with major donors; 2) Edit, write and facilitate written communication on behalf of the CDO to major donors for the Development and Membership team; 3) Manage various campaigns and projects on behalf of the Development and Membership department; and 4) Provide ongoing budget support and manage MUNIS functions for Development and Membership teams.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent communications and or administrative support experience.
- Five years experience as an executive assistant or board coordinator.
- Knowledge of development and membership best practices.
- Thorough knowledge of general office procedures and the ability to implement these procedures quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to administer budget requests and processing purchasing requests.
- Ability to conduct research.
- Demonstrated positive customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven grammatical skills, especially sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to work with a high degree of diplomacy and maintenance of confidentiality is required.
- Ability to multitask, working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritizing and adapting to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take individual initiative while also being able to collaborate effectively and contribute positively in a team environment.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and work effectively with staff, board members, donors and volunteers.
- Ability to think imaginatively and problem solve.
- Proven attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with multiple types of technology, including FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Office, Suite, and Google Suite.
- Knowledge of data processing, including familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database systems.
- Ability and willingness for occasional travel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong ability to work within an electronic, data driven environment.
- Experience using MUNIS and Tessitura.
- Knowledge of MNHS programs, policies, and personnel.
- Knowledge of public administration principles and policies; Minnesota state, county, and local government organizations.
