YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
The CIC Health Senior Staff Accountant will work alongside the CIC Finance team. The CIC Finance team is a relatively small team that affords the candidate the opportunity for participation in project work as well as collaboration and cooperation among team members.

The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• State business registrations and sales tax filings.
• File tax ID documents with advice from tax specialists (e.g. EIN, VAT).
• Systems implementation project work.
• Reviewing complex contracts and invoicing for contract services.
• Reconciling multiple data sources to identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of client and vendor invoices.
• Ongoing review of customer accounts to ensure that all revenue has been billed.
• Active participation in the monthly close, including revenue recognition, analysis of monthly activity to identify necessary adjustments, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statement preparation.
• Contributing to ongoing forecasts (income statement and cash) and annual budget.
• Actively participating in the design and implementation of policies and procedures.
• Other projects, as required.

Our ideal candidate will:
• Possess strong accounting, finance, quantitative, and business writing skills.
• Have experience with business registration and sales tax compliance.
• Have experience with accounting software implementations.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization.
• Be adaptable and able to work well under pressure in a rapidly changing and demanding environment.
• Be skilled in analyzing and reconciling large data sets.
• Be able to identify and help drive opportunities that improve internal control, processes and efficiency.
• Be highly detail oriented and organized with solid time management skills.
• Work comfortably with everyone, treating everyone with respect.

YOU HAVE
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• A minimum of 4 years of corporate accounting experience, CPA preferred but not required.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with QuickBooks.
• The ability to analyze large data sets and investigate issues.
• Experience in a start-up environment preferred.
