The Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities, a residential school for academically gifted high school juniors and seniors, welcomes applications for full time contract position for the academic year. The Academy is located on the campus of Ball State University.

 

The Indiana Academy serves approximately 250 juniors and seniors who are gifted and talented from across the state of Indiana and through its international program. The Indiana Academy’s major purpose is to provide educational opportunities appropriate to the ability and development of its students. It is a primarily residential high school with several local non-residential students. Through various outreach programs, the Indiana Academy strives to stimulate and enable vitality in educational programs for students who are academically gifted. The Academy is committed to creating innovative programs and practices that attract, retain, and nurture a diverse Academy community.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include teaching General Physics, AP Physics and electives as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Physics or related field; previous teaching experience at the secondary level or undergraduate collegiate level.
