The Position

IT engineers apply their technical knowledge to solve a variety of technological challenges. They create or implement new technologies and drive the development of networking solutions and software programs. We are looking for positive, driven candidates who work well in a team or pair programming environment, with the ability to pick up new skills and technologies and rapidly apply them to solve problems.

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of an agile team.
  • Understand modern software development methodologies and tooling (continuous integration, version control, modern build systems and dependency management, SAST/DAST)
  • Ideate approaches to automation, deployment, and change management for third party systems/applications (treat operations as a development effort)
  • Write robust automation for provisioning, configuration, deployment, operation of third party systems/applications.
  • Provide support to customer/users for operational environment.
  • Understand customer/user personas and journeys and develop workflows for the fulfillment of these journeys (i.e. requesting access to software, requesting new software, requesting accounts, etc..)

Who You Are

  • You have experience with Linux server administration
  • You have experience with Microsoft Active Directory, ADFS, SAML/SSO, etc…
  • You have hands on experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Certifications a plus
  • You have experience with terraform, ansible, chef, puppet, cloud formation, or similar
  • You have experience with BOSH, Kubernetes, and containers
  • You have experience with developing service desk workflows (Jira Service Desk or similar)
  • You feel comfortable speaking up when the wrong technical direction is being taken.
  • You are a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

We hire at the GS-13 level equivalent. This means you can expect a salary of $102,601 to $132,064 (depending on experience) for a Boston-based position (pay will be adjusted by location), as well as paid time off, health, and retirement benefits. There are advancement opportunities to promote to senior levels after hiring.
