INVENTORY CONTROL SUPERVISOR

Job Summary

Manages warehouses for a Facility Services unit including inventory management and distribution, receipt, and delivery, of materials and parts for Facility Services. Supervises staff performing related duties. Monitors all cycle count programs and ensures consistency and accuracy in operations & programs. Identifies and manages all operational problems in inventory, warehouses, and Stores department functions.

This position is not eligible for hybrid work and requires 100% onsite work

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of work experience in a supervisory, management, or lead worker position
• Minimum of two years of work experience in inventory control and purchasing roles (concurrently or individually)
• Evidence of ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Demonstrated customer service experience
• Experience using common business software and applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet browsers, etc.)
• Willingness to operate (or learn to operate) a box truck and forklift
• Must possess a valid Wisconsin Driver license (or other such valid operator’s permit recognized by the WisconsinDepartment of Transportation) and be able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on statebusiness as detailed here: https://uwm.edu/risk-management/drivers/

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience as a supervisor/manager in a warehousing/inventory role
• Experience using TMA or another computerized maintenance management system
• Forklift experience and certification
• Box truck experience

Finance & Administrative Affairs is required to conduct Post-Offer Pre-Employment screenings on the selected candidate for this role. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing the screening.
