Trade Spend & Cash Collections Analyst
Your Role:
Reporting directly to the Controller, the person in this key & visible role will be responsible for researching, validating, and applying Accounts Receivable claims. They will leverage their experience to implement changes in processes by improving existing procedures for clearing deductions.
This person will act as a Finance business partner to the Sales team and will assist Sales in adequately promoting our product through the timely application of aged accounts receivable claims.
Your Responsibilities:
- Research customer claim deductions (trade spend related and other) using customer web portals and direct customer correspondence; partner with sales as needed.
- Contribute to a more efficient and effective customer claim research process to support sustainable growth.
- Partner with 3rd party brokers to gather the backup documentation required to clear claims.
- Address and dispute erroneous claims.
- Facilitate process improvement with effective tools for resolving accounts receivable claims.
- Provide ERP support (Navision) for setting up new customers and sales brokers.
- Work with Operations team with the research and application of shortages.
- Ad hoc projects as requested.
Your Skills:
- High level communication and interpersonal communication abilities
- Solid experience with financial analysis
- Oral and written communication skills
- Capability to understand new software products; experience with software implementation is beneficial
- Proficient in Excel and Windows applications
- Prior experience with cash receipt automation is beneficial
Scope:
- Size of business approximately North America $170m, approximately 70 employees.
Your Experience:
- 7+ years overall professional experience.
- 5+ years industry relevant experience.
- Retail or CPG experience.
