Location
In this position you can expect to work Monday through Friday, in office, on site at Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd. Denver, CO 80249. After successful completion of six-month probationary period, you have the option to work a hybrid schedule.
The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.
What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities will include:
- Provides administrative/executive support to the Director of Maintenance Administration, unit managers, and front-line supervisors as needed. Cultivate, foster, and maintain positive working relationships (both internally and externally) with managers, supervisors, and employees
- Manage onboarding processes to include, shift assignments, Maximo assignments, key issuance and management, employee lockers, assist with employee technology access and have authorized signatory duties (e.g., badge renewals, etc.). Manage employee records, prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents
- Act as liaison for employee uniforms, to include safety toe shoes, clothes, hats, jackets, safety prescription glasses, etc. (initial issue and ongoing support)
- Partner with DEN Recruiter on monitoring staffing positions (filled vs. vacant)
- Coordinate Shift-Bid process and Seniority Roster, coordinate interviews (manage candidates), monitor hiring process in Workday
- Use Smartsheet to process and manage tasks related to invoicing/billing, purchases, Commercial Driver’s License Driver Qualification Files, and snow operations dashboards
- Prepare conference rooms (e.g., make reservations and check equipment). Coordinate meeting and special events (in-person and video conferencing)
- Builds and / or assists with the PowerPoint decks for leadership meetings and retreats, all staff meetings, engagement survey rollouts and other special projects as necessary
- Monitor Section budget transactions (e.g., monthly/quarterly reports), manage section P-Card, analyze/investigate budget transactions and identify trends/issues. Create purchase orders and initiate change orders as needed
- Perform vehicle coordinator duties – coordinate vehicle maintenance issues with Fleet Management and participate in the DEN Snow Program
About You
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (365) products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Experience using Smartsheet
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Goal orientated and enjoys working on a team
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable; willingness to learn
- Experience reviewing and processing vendor invoices for payment helpful
- Notary a plus
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Education requirement: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
- Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience performing specialized and/or technical office support work of the type and at the level of Administrative Support Assistant IV
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year experience

Snow / Emergency Duties: Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If weather conditions warrant or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees can be required to work extended hours and/or shifts.
