Full-Time Vertical Video Producer

Job Description

The Democratic National Committee seeks a talented and creative Vertical Video Producer to join our Mobilization team. The individual hired for this position will oversee the production of vertical (9×16) videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat that directly contribute to the growth of DNC accounts on those platforms. The Vertical Video Producer will join the growing DNC video team and will collaborate with teams throughout the organization to produce innovative, creative, and effective social videos.

You will: Responsibilities

    • Create multiple, high-performing vertical videos each week for TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
    • Independently oversee the production of vertical videos from initial idea to publishing.
    • Keep up with platform trends and constantly come up with new, high-potential ideas for videos.
    • Work with members of the video team and social team to brainstorm new concepts, create a release schedule, and establish benchmarks for success.
    • Establish effective ways to use footage from live streams, press conferences, and events, as well as news coverage, to create high-performing videos.
    • Help grow DNC-managed accounts on TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat.
    • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC’s mission.

You have: Qualifications

    • Experience creating successful videos for social platforms.
    • Experience creating videos for TikTok.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Experience in all facets of video production, especially filming and editing.
    • The ability to work quickly and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
    • The ability to collaborate respectfully and effectively with others.
    • The desire to create informative and persuasive videos that inspire viewers to support Democratic candidates and causes.
 The starting salary for the Vertical Video Producer position is $60,000 on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.  This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
