Compensation and Benefits:
The Full Salary Range for this position is $40,453 – $72,390 Annually. The Hiring Range is $40,453 – $53,228 Annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. Work Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm & Friday 7:30am-11:30am
Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, & repair all electrical and lighting systems within City facilities. The successful candidate must have the knowledge and experience in the installation of new electrical systems (from the ground up); the ability to troubleshoot and repair existing old and new electrical equipment; and a proficient working knowledge of the Card Access system and CCTV computer software. In addition, this employee will design, develop, install, maintain, troubleshoot, & repair Card Access systems & Closed Circuit Television systems. This position will work under the direction of the Electrical Supervisor, and must be capable of working independently and have the ability to make independent job-related decisions. This employee will assist in training new maintenance Mechanic Tech’s and will oversee the work of one or more men on small to moderate electrical projects. The employee must have the ability to meet all local and state fire codes and the security needs of the facility. The knowledge and ability to operate electrical hand and power tools, network interface equipment, and a computer is required. The individual in this position must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Employee should have knowledge and understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration policies and procedures, must have and maintain a City Journeyman’s Card, and comply with all local, State and National electrical codes. The physical duties of the job involves bending, stooping, standing, walking, kneeling, climbing ladders, lifting 25-50 lbs., pushing, pulling and reaching.
