Production Lead- MAR

We are seeking a Production Lead, this position, is based in our Byhalia Factory location.

This position requires shift flexibility, the shifts are AM and PM, each shift is 12 hours and the days are rotating 2-2-3

Production Lead’s are members of the Production team and report to the Production Supervisor. The ROCKWOOL The Production team members are responsible for ensuring the production goals are achieve

What you bring:

• A high level of concentration
• Ability to operate production equipment in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.
• Experience in machine set-up and computers
• Experience trouble shooting equipment.
• Ability to read and understand written product specifications.
• Drive and understanding key figures and how to maximize output.
• Work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated with high energy
• Good people skills
• Well organized
• Able to lift 60lbs independently or 120lbs with a colleague.
• Curiosity to learn how to melt stone into lava!

What you will be doing:

• Responsible for the packaging machines, limiting waste where possible.
• Understands how to read the production schedule and ensure it is a followed by all team members.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment, assist maintenance with repairs and if necessary.
• Ensures all packaging material is clearly available so there is no waste due to packaging changes. Ensures excessive foil is returned to the foil storage area.
• Assists to make safe and timely foil changes on Shrink Tunnel so there is limited need to slow down production on roll changes.
• Stays on top of granulation to ensure a constant supply of recycle for production.
• Assists Supervisor in achieving Key figure goals.
• Is stand in for the Production Supervisor in case of absence.
