Full-Time Leadership Development ‘Client Lead’

T– – Posted by NGillbanks London, England, United Kingdom

Job Description

T– Summary

Helping leaders evolve faster than the world around them.

We’re up to something incredibly exciting at T–. We’re on a mission to impact 1m leaders at pioneering businesses striving to make a positive impact on the world, whilst building an award winning, rule breaking culture and practice for our people – attracting, growing and rewarding exceptional talent.

Forged in the fires of startups and some of the most successful companies in the world, we specialise in developing leaders in environments of high change, growth and disruption. We work with leaders at pioneering startups and corporates who are building the great businesses of the future and are thrilled to work with companies such as Unilever, Bacardi, Boots, Disney, The Guardian, Ordnance Survey, Sainsburys, Baringa Partners, BCB Group, Monzo, Outsystems, Secret Escapes, loveholidays, Yousician, Checkout.com and Graphcore.

We’re building the world’s most powerful Leadership Generator – a co-created power source of programmes, assessments, strategic offsites and coaching. Scalable. Constantly evolving. Built and activated by the T– Change Makers, a diverse and brilliant global network of 100+ thinkers and practitioners. Psychologists, neuroscientists, technologists, academics, founders and coaches. And our passionate, committed core team of expert practitioners, all of us having built and scaled businesses and been leaders and managers in our own right. Evolving with you, our Leadership Community where we share and learn together and help leaders and organisations grow in change.

We are a research-led organisation. Recently we set out to understand why some leaders thrive in disruption whilst others fail. We spoke to more than 120 organisations of 50 to 120,000 in different industries across the globe to find out what’s really going on in the minds of leaders as they navigate a time of unprecedented change and disruption.

Those findings were combined with insights from interviews with over 150 CEOs in the last 2 years to create a playbook for leaders of the 4th industrial revolution, The Disruptive Leadership Report. The DLR also gave birth to our proprietary model of leadership development.

Why our clients work with us

Because we’re humble. We partner and co-create well as an extension of the client teams we work with. We bring the right people to the right problem. We’re fearless and know that success comes from failure, each of us having discovered this the hard way. We are committed to progress and an iterative approach to design which enables our programmes to learn as fast as our clients will change.

We keep things simple and are as much about the human as the ideas. We bring insightful, cutting edge, provocative stimulus and content. We love brilliant process and execution. Engagements should run on rails. And we manage our client spend as if it’s our own. Most of all we care. Deeply. About our people. Our client organisations. Every single stakeholder we interact with. And the world out there.

What we’re looking for

At only 6 years old, sometimes we wonder how we’ve earned the right to play where we do. Clearly we’re doing something right! And the commercial traction we are experiencing in the market continues to grow exponentially quarter by quarter. We’ve got a brilliant 2024 pipeline and are confident next year will be the best yet! We’re also busy scaling our business to meet the needs of our clients, so there is a lot of internal work going on too. It’s an exciting time for all of us.

To turbocharge the next stage of our growth, we are seeking a number of ‘Client Lead’ level candidates to be a part of our story – creating award-winning client work and shaping the future of T–.

As a Client Lead, you are a highly trusted and visible member of the team. You will be spending most of your time embedded within our client accounts working across a number of exciting briefs, contributing significantly to the Client Experience and T– growth. You will also be involved in contributing to T– strategy, developing thought leadership and IP and other internal strategic priorities.

What you’ll be up to:

  • Helping the team to generate new business of £200k in year 1, scaling to £500k+ end of year 2 – we utilise a team attribution model to recognise growth across new and existing clients
  • Living in our clients contexts to build deep understanding of their businesses, cycles and people priorities
  • Interfacing and growing relationships across the stakeholder maps of our client organisations
  • Actively seeking out new growth opportunities within our clients which help them to deliver impact
  • Supporting project management and working closely with T– Programme Managers to ensure projects are run on rails
  • Working closely with T– Directors and Partners to manage and develop client relationships
  • Building the scalable T– Client Experience which continues to delight clients over the long term
  • Interfacing, working with and developing our global ecosystem of brilliant Change Makers
  • Continually thinking about channels and mechanics to grow the scale and impact of T–

Requirements

About you:

  • Excited to work with us on disrupting the leadership development industry

  • Brilliantly credible with clients and gifted at building ‘trusted partner’ relationships
  • Intuitively build and manage client accounts and build ‘businesses within our business’

  • Serial relationship builder and love working with client teams, spending 70% of your time on client work
  • Strong commercial acumen – you manage project P&L’s on rails – finding the right balance of investment, impact and return
  • You have strong design skills and know how to build brilliant learning experiences and leadership development programmes

Strengths that will set you apart:

  • Confidence, expertise and gravitas with clients, working with T– Partners and Directors to lead client conversations on the people change / transformation / L&D agendas – with the C-suite of a tech scale up, or business unit / HR / talent function of a corporate
  • High quality work and product, proposal writing, ability to communicate ideas and concepts brilliantly
  • Strong client management and interfacing skills. You know how to establish deep, productive client relationships
  • Knowledge and expertise of diversity, equity and inclusion best practice

  • Seamless consulting toolkit across the value chain – particularly in discovery, insights, business acumen and understanding
  • Startup mindset, rolling your sleeves up to support the team. There is no task beyond anyone and we have no ivory towers

Benefits

We play big, move fast, and are variously involved in some pretty knotty client problems to solve! We know the nature of the work we do isn’t always easy. Creating the conditions and culture where each of us can thrive, feel supported and be excited by what we’re shaping individually and as a collective is of primary importance to us. The offer reflects what we know you will bring and give to T–. Your best.

What we can give you:

  • A highly visible external and internal role with influence on the direction of T–
  • An open, passionate culture, shaped by people who love what we’re up to together
  • Living and breathing our values every day – all in, care deeply, find the balance, spot the good
  • Rapid personal and professional growth enabled by the right level of stretch
  • Opportunity to work alongside world class leadership development professionals
  • Unlimited holiday allowance (which we encourage you to utilise)
  • Office closed between Christmas and New Year so we can recharge over the break
  • Annual team getaway (based on company targets) –  last year we were in Devon for a return to nature, the year before, Morzine!
  • Flexible working hours so you can manage your energy to be at your best
  • 20% in the London office on Tuesday’s (on average people spend 2-3 with Monday’s also becoming a core office day)
  • Weekly team lunch on the business and regular social meet-ups and celebrations

Our offer:

Salary £50k-£75k commensurate with experience, profit share and performance bonus to 20% dependent upon individual and company performance. Equity discussed after 12 months of continuous employment. Learning and development fund, company pension.

Hiring Process:

Our people are our business and most important asset. The hiring process is designed to deep-dive into your work and professional experience, but we are equally interested in the ‘human’ behind the words. You. Your passions, talents, values and strengths. Your ambitions, where you want to go, how you want to develop, and what is going to enable you to be at your best.

Equally, it is critical that you get to know about us – our DNA, ambitions, plans, what we’re up to, what we’re focused on right now. We are transparent, honest and will paint the most visible picture of T– that we possibly can. If we don’t know, we’ll say so.

For guidance we have a four-stage interview process – through the process, you will have the opportunity to meet a number of the team and build the picture.

  1. First initial interview, a short video from you in response to questions from us (20 mins)
  2. Second round ‘competency based’ conversation, T– Director / Partner (60 mins)
  3. Third ‘task-based’ conversation providing the opportunity to demonstrate your approach to a live client T– brief, T– team (90 mins)
  4. Fourth round ‘ambition and development’ conversation, T– Partners (60 mins)

After receiving an offer – we’d love to provide the opportunity for you to connect to other members of the team to discuss any final questions or considerations you have. Where appropriate we may also connect you with one of our clients so you can hear directly from them how we work and the impact we create.

Research shows that some people are less likely to apply for a role unless they are 100% qualified. So, if you think you’d be a good fit for this role and you’re excited to join T–, then we’d love to hear about your experience, skills and passion and why we should hire you! T– is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a diverse environment. We welcome applicants from those who are under-represented in our industry.
