- Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience
- Expected starting salary is $21.90 to $29.23. Full salary range is $21.90 – $36.57.
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in human services, business or related field
OR
Combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) years of experience in a customer-focused position
OR
High School graduate, G.E.D., or foreign education equivalent to a U.S. High School Diploma and two (2) years of experience in a customer focused position
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver’s license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
- Nature of Work
- Under supervision, performs a variety of administrative support tasks for department programs. Works collaboratively with co-workers and all levels and areas of the organization. Assists customers with a diverse set of needs and barriers and who may or may not be experiencing crisis.
- Examples of Work
- Communicates complex information to Family Support and Assistance (FSA) customers and provides resource information as requested while maintaining confidentiality as needed
- Opens and scans incoming mail into an electronic document management system and assigns to appropriate staff for processing
- Monitors and responds to high volume communication pathways which may include the call center, reception desks, email and faxes
- Prepares and submits E-file documents with district court
- Interviews and may assist customers with necessary form completion to obtain assistance from federal/state programs
- Performs detailed data entry and record/electronic case file management
- Receives and processes program applications and referrals
- Creates and serves financial and legal documents including redaction of confidential information
- Performs general administrative support duties for Family Support and Assistance
- Performs related work as required

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information
- Ability to organize and prioritize daily work tasks while experiencing multiple interruptions
- Ability to make timely decision while applying program knowledge
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with intern and external customers and coworkers
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deescalate stressful situations while remaining calm and objective
