We are looking for Cleaning Crew Operators to join our Production Cleaning Crew in Milton, ON.

Your future team:

You will become part of the Cleaning Crew on the production line, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The team has up to 12 team members who work together to maintain an efficient, clean, and safe workspace without jeopardizing production or the environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of Health & Safety requirements and ability to work in a safe manner
• Good understanding of how equipment operates to clear equipment safely
• Forklift experience/certification

What you will be doing:

• Operate forklifts, Zamboni and cushamn safely as per company rules and guidelines.
• Confined space when necessary
• Use of fall arrest and aerial platform when necessary
• Use and maintenance of but not limited to: small tools, small power tools, basic understanding and operation of small tools, shovels, air hoses and wands brooms, chisels, pneumatic equipment, hot wash guns, mops, wringers, buckets, scrapers, long handed scrapers, dry ice machine, genie booms, skyjacks
• Operation of High Pressure Pump
• Basic Crane Operation (SPC Crane)
• Keep the building clean and organized by picking up any debris on the floor in your assigned work areas
• Remove waste collections areas and place in appropriate bins
• Complete all paperwork as required by Rockwool standards
• Willing to have flexible break times if called upon to keep the factory performing
• Offer ideas and suggestions for positive changes
• Any other tasks as necessary or designated

Work Environment & Conditions:

• Fast-paced high volume production facility
• The ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions for 8-10 hours daily
• Ability to lift 60 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another person
• Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
• Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
