Full-Time Technical Training Specialist

Job Description

Primary Responsibility: The role involves taking the lead in implementing a new learning management software and designing modern self-guided learning modules for core training in sexual and domestic violence advocacy in Kansas. As the in-house e-learning expert, the responsibilities encompass designing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining all KCSDV digital training platforms. This role requires close collaboration with KCSDV subject matter experts to ensure a productive and user-friendly learning experience for all KCSDV training participants.

Specific duties: 

• Implement a new learning management software that seamlessly integrates with KCSDV’s Coalition Manager platform.
• Contribute to the successful launch of the training component of Coalition Manager
• In collaboration with subject matter experts, create engaging and informative training content for self-guided virtual modules, aligning with best practices in hybrid training.
• Collaborate with the training team to update and enhance the content of the core training for new advocates, focusing on foundational principles and survivor support practices.
• Ensure that the new training modules incorporate accreditation standards.
• Monitor and track the progress of participants, providing technical support as needed to ensure a smooth learning experience.
• Stay updated on the latest promising practices in the field of sexual and domestic violence advocacy to incorporate into training materials.
• Collaborate with the training team to continually improve and refine training content based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Assist with other KCSDV duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Needed: Education or experience with instructional technology, with an emphasis in e-learning methods. Ability to create engaging self-guided training, aligning with adult education best practices for professionals. Ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel and have means of own transportation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred: Familiarity with current sexual and domestic violence advocacy best practices. Education, experience, or the ability to gain knowledge of the accessibility of digital content.
