The position Grant Administrator of the DMH Internship Program (hereinafter referred to as “Grant Administrator”) lies within the School of Social Work at Bridgewater State University and is part of the Academic Affairs Division.

The School of Social Work, led by Carol Bonner, MBA, MSW, Ed.D., Associate Dean, offers the largest bachelor’s in social work program in Massachusetts along with a popular master’s in social work program — both of which are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. With a curriculum grounded in service learning, BSU’s social work programs offer intensive fieldwork and mentoring by our accomplished faculty.

Position Summary:

The Grant Administrator’s primary focus is to support the fiscal and programmatic reporting requirements associated with paid student internships at outpatient and community-based, public sector, behavioral health service settings in Massachusetts.

The Grant Administrator will interact directly with the Project Director overseeing grant implementation, data collection and reporting, and fiscal tracking. This individual will also interact with BSU faculty in three academic departments; BSU staff in multiple administrative departments; and with external agencies during the award period.

This is a temporary, two year, full-time, grant-funded position, with an estimated project period of September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2025, contingent upon funding.

This position is located on campus in Bridgewater, MA. This position may be eligible for hybrid / remote work in accordance with BSU remote work policy.

This position will be part of the Association of Professional Administrators (APA) and subject to the terms of that collective bargaining agreement.

Essential Duties:

1. Assist with program implementation including reporting and compliance with fiscal reporting (e.g., submit budget reconciliation within fifteen (15) days of the end of the applicable semester and summer session internships)2. Coordinate technical/data reporting within thirty (30) days of the end of each semester for both years of the grant period and the final report to the awarding agency3. Coordinate payments to interns and behavioral health providers4. Create and adapt existing systems for, and coordinate tasks associated with, data collection, analysis, and dissemination to meet sponsor’s reporting requirements for evaluating the impact of the Behavioral Health Paid Internship Program5. Lead stakeholder relations for three academic departments (social work, counselor education, and psychology)6. Author reports as requested by university stakeholders and as required by the awarding agency on demographics, program assessment, and behavioral health provider characteristics7. Produce periodic reports regarding student selection criteria, funds allocated, and agencies receiving students supported by the grant8. Collaborate with university staff and offices (e.g., Grants and Sponsored Projects, academic departments, and Accounts Payable)
9. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree2. Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets3. Fiscal management skills4. Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and dissemination5. Project management, grants, or related experience6. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, provide attention to detail7. Excellent speaking and writing skills8. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively in an office environment and with diverse colleagues
9. Familiarity with human services, behavioral health, and/or higher education sectors

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in social sciences or business2. Familiarity with Banner3. Grant experience in an institution of higher education or MA state funding agency4. Demonstrated skills in data visualization

Salary Range: $60,000 – $65,000 plus benefits
