Hourly Paid Art & Design Lecturer 

£25.71 – £33.32 per hour, dependent on level of teaching qualification  

The working pattern is TBC 

Abingdon and Witney campus 

Fixed term until the 30th of September 2024 

Start date: as soon as possible  

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled Hourly Paid Art and Design Lecturer who wants to work in a role where there is plenty of opportunities to apply their planning and teaching skills to help support the students of the future. 

With appropriate experience and qualifications reflecting a strong background in the Art and Design industry, having a teaching qualification would be advantageous. You will be teaching a variety of UAL units in Art and Design. You must have the ability to communicate with students and to motivate them and support them in their studies. 

The ability to be able to support and advise students on a variety of disciplines within the Art and Design world would be desirable. An understanding of using computer software to support our students would also be an advantage.  

There are opportunities across both our campuses to work within the Art and Design teams. 

Above all, we need someone committed to supporting our young people and helping us be an extraordinary curriculum area within the college, striving for excellence in everything we do.  

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college. 

This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
