Gloucester

Salary £40,282 per annum

Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week)

Gloucester City Homes (GCH) is an ambitious, dynamic housing association with strong community roots. We are focused on building homes and communities where people can thrive and delivering valued services to our customers.

To support our Planned Programme, we’re now seeking a Surveyor to manage large contracts to deliver high quality, investments and improvements across GCH’s stock. You’ll ensure that our assets are improved in accordance with agreed standards and meet all regulatory requirements, including Home England’s Decent Homes Standard.

You’ll oversee the successful delivery of large scale, multi-year projects and contracts, leading on budgetary control, contract coordination, management and administration to ensure services are delivered to customer satisfaction, agreed standards, required levels of performance and achieve Value for Money.

We’d like you to…

  • Hold a relevant technical qualification such as CIOB, RICS or CIH.
  • Have substantial experience, at Surveyor level, of Asset Management, Property Investment and Public Procurement.
  • Have proven track record of managing £1million+ planned improvement projects resources, budgets, and contracts with an ability to identify and eliminate risks, ensuring value for money and the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Have substantial experience of delivering successful outcomes through robust performance management, together with proven project management experience.
  • Be able to understand and present technical information clearly and communicate matters related to asset management to a varied audience.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and take a positive approach to resolving problems and providing support across all teams.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus, able to understand the needs and perceptions of different client groups and individual clients, handling difficult situations sensitively and negotiating appropriate outcomes.
