Product Development Manager
The employer is a prestigious, market-leading, provider of training and development.
The role provides an opportunity to work at the forefront of the organisation’s development, making a major contribution to the continuation of their growth trajectory and status as a global brand.
The purpose of this role is to lead product development and co-ordinate, in conjunction with key internal stakeholders, the product and service strategy. Products include training and qualifications.
This role will require:
- taking the lead on product specification, content development and the design process
- leading cross-functional team projects
- taking products from ideation to launch
- ensuring that projects remain on schedule
- ensuring a high degree of quality throughout
The employer is looking for someone who:
- has expertise in product development and a strong understanding of pedagogy, including learning in a digital environment
- is equipped to take responsibility for leading and managing the product development process
- is skilled at relationship management – in particular, with external stakeholders (partners and suppliers), especially at a senior level – and is able to work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain on track
- has an appreciation of the various contexts of product development, notably marketing, commerciality, and international factors (in particular, ensuring products meet the employer’s global standards)
Key facts:
This is a permanent, full-time (35-hour week), role
The role is hybrid: home-working blended with occasional working out of client’s offices in Northamptonshire (approx. 1 day a month, more frequently during induction)
The salary is £42k-£50k + great benefits
Person specification:
– Knowledge and experience of product development processes
– Knowledge and experience in training
– Experience of people management, leadership, and development
– Successful project management experience
– Demonstrable experience of influencing senior stakeholders
– Strong communication skills
– Team player and motivator
– Excellent administrative and organisational skills
– First degree or equivalent
