Full-Time Information Security Analyst – Cyber Security Metrics (REMOTE)

Job Description

Seeking an Information Security Analyst with Cyber Security Metrics experience for a 100% Remote position.

 

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for Information Security metrics program development and enhancement in alignment with Enterprise business initiatives. The analyst is responsible for identifying and operationalizing information security metrics, developing metrics reporting in alignment with established security frameworks, identifying and operationalizing insights gathered from metrics reporting, and managing and maintaining security metrics data and dashboards.

Information Security Analyst Responsibilities

 

  • Identify, develop, and report on an expanded portfolio of metrics in alignment with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Identify actionable insights from metrics data and reporting; gather the required information and create reporting based on those insights to highlight opportunities for performance improvement, risk reduction, improved efficiency, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with subsidiaries to create roadmaps outlining plans for developing and operationalizing Information Security metrics
  • Develop and produce Information Security metrics reporting dashboards for subsidiaries. Collaborate with Enterprise Data Services team for dashboard guidance and development.
  • Communicate with individuals and teams responsible for security controls to document, understand, and report the full context around Information Security metrics performance.
  • Assist with assigned operational excellence activities or projects that support process improvements across the Information Security organization. Provides input to drive process improvements.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end completion of assigned security requests.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years related work experience
  • Experience developing Information Security metrics and reporting
  • Experience producing reporting with Tableau, PowerBI, or other similar tools
  • CISSP is preferred
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and collaborate as part of a team
  • Ability to manage tasks independently without close supervision and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
  • Understanding of Information Security concepts, protocols, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools are required, e.g., Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security theories, principles, controls and technologies
  • Experience using Agile methodology (preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of Tableau dashboard reporting (preferred)
  • Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Six Sigma Operational Effectiveness processes / projects
