Full-Time Assembly Manager
Job Description

Responsibilities
- Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Lead a team of represented employees in the fabrication and assembly of complex aero structures, to meet production requirements and customer acceptance
- Ensures the manufacture of completed units by overseeing activities such as assembly of components into subassemblies
- Mating or joining of structural assemblies (metallic and nonmetallic)
- Installation of systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic) that are fastened with screws, bolts, rivets, solder, crimping or swaging, connectors, or adhesives
- Testing with mechanical, electrical, and electronic test equipment.
- Interfaces with engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and customer acceptance.
Position Requirements
- Must complete and clear Boeing Background check and badging process
- Willing to travel 10-15% (to and from assignment/training requirements)
- Willing to work 2nd shift (Role does have shift differential)
- Agree to approximately 12- 18 month assignment (depends on location)
- Must be able to work 10-12 hour days
- Position is eligible for overtime pay – 1st Level Managers are paid OT after 45 hours in the week and OT is paid as straight time
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years’ experience in Aerospace
- At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership/management role
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working with multiple cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, etc.)
- Experience developing and managing a statement of work on time and within budget
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience using SAP
- Ability to work any shift, including alternative work weeks
- Experience working in a union environment with collective bargaining agreements
- Experience monitoring cost
- Experience managing projects
- Experience with strategic planning
- Experience working with new product introduction (NPI)
- Experience with Aircraft on the Ground (AOG)
