Full-Time Marketing & Sales Associate

Job Description

Contribute to Where There Be Dragons marketing and sales teams. We are looking for someone with sales and marketing experience and/or a serious curiosity, commitment, and strong ability to develop their skill set in either arena. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing

    • Support the creation of a yearly marketing strategy that achieves annual enrollment goals
  • Dream up, develop, manage, and assess innovative marketing campaigns to attract prospective students 
  • Effectively measure and track the success and ROI of various campaigns
  • Help manage our day-to-day social platforms in accordance with brand guidelines and marketing initiatives
  • Curation of content for social platforms, blog, web, email, etc. including copy, photos, and videos for distribution across multiple channels
  • Support Dragons video creation, collection, use, editing, organization, and distribution
  • Support alumni relations, platform management, and communications

Sales

  • Nurture leads and convert to sales through direct call, email, and text campaigns
  • Respond to prospective and enrolled families through live chat, email, and phone calls
  • Identify, contact, and cultivate new student leads and relationships with key schools contacts
  • Represent Dragons for up to 5 weeks/year of in-person student recruitment – presenting at schools, fairs, and to families about Dragons
  • Support our in-person sales team travel by scheduling events, presentations, and meetings with prospective students (typically school visits and home visits)
  • Mobilize our alumni community to support sales efforts
  • Effectively utilize Salesforce, Account Engagement, and other software to initiate and track conversations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated experience building relationships and trust with a range of clients and leads through marketing, lead nurturing, and customer service
  • Ability to tell a compelling story, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and work comfortably in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to accept feedback and integrate it into system/process improvement
  • Excellent grasp of communication tools, systems, messaging, & trends as they relate to Gen Z
  • Experience making marketing campaigns actionable, effective, & measurable 
  • Understanding of Google Analytics, Salesforce reporting, and Meta metrics 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and administrative skills
  • Photography & web design basics
  • Adaptable and flexible

PREFERRED OR BONUS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Salesforce SalesCloud and Account Engagement 
  • Adobe Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro
  • WordPress
  • Experience in a relevant field (i.e. education, guiding, international development, service learning, wilderness, community and youth development, non-profit sector, etc.)
  • Video editing & production
  • Digital and social marketing skills: build and manage campaigns on social platforms through creation & curation of content for social, blog, web, etc. including copy and photos for distribution across multiple channels
  • Fluency in multiple social media platforms including Instagram (Stories, Live, & IGTV), YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, SnapChat, Google, Pinterest, WordPress, Blog, etc.
  • Skills and passion for centering Indigenous and marginalized stories and ways of knowing, living, and relating from around the world and marketing the value of exposure to these perspectives

TERMS AND REMUNERATION

  • Full time (40 hours/week) preferred
  • This is a remote position (HQ is in Boulder, CO)
  • 5 weeks/year of travel anticipated within the U.S
  • $45,000 to $65,000 USD annual salary range, starting commensurate with experience
