Wespath, recognized as a 2017-2022 Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® and a 2018-2022 National Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®, has an opportunity for a Salesforce Technical Architect that responsible for providing Salesforce and other systems support to operational departments. This position serves as a liaison of the organization’s retirement, health benefits and institutional investment applications with our systems users and external vendors.
More specifically, as the Salesforce Technical Architect you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals
- Interact directly with managers and end-users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, configurations, and interactions with internal Salesforce instances
- Communicate with project managers, and other developers to design cohesive project strategies and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
- Manage daily support and maintenance of internal Salesforce instance, and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving requirements
- Prioritize system issues and enhancements
- Document system issues and enhancements in a clear and concise manner, including root cause
- Effectively communicate and follow up on system issues and enhancements
- Maintain service levels for issue resolution and enhancement delivery
- Ensure enhancements are aligned with business rules
- Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives, and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully
- Provide system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflow
- Accountable for integrity and performance of our Salesforce environment
- Implement Salesforce configuration changes, including, but not limited to workflow, process builder, flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards, and reports
- Provide system best practices to application users
- Review business requirements to evaluate impact of proposed changes
- Participate in test case development and execution for organizational and departmental projects/initiatives
- Periodically audit and monitor data quality
- Maintain departmental system and process documentation
- Maintain relationships with vendors
- Participate in user group meetings to stay current on system best practices and functionality

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 4+ years of Salesforce application configuration and/or development
- 4+ years of experience in group benefits and record keeping systems
- Proficient with Salesforce basics, Apex, VisualForce, Lightning, RDBMS and JavaScript Sales Cloud/Service Cloud, SFDX
- Experience in multi-system integration
- Experience in source code control
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least two (2) years of Salesforce Administration experience with Salesforce Digital Experience Cloud (Community) and Lightning Knowledge
- Development using Standard Salesforce and Force.com platform (Lightning, Apex, Triggers, Workflow rules, VF pages)
- Experience in Force.com Architecture, Design, Development, Administration, and Operational Support
- Experience in Salesforce community development
- Experience in Agile methodology
- Trailhead Badges/Super Badges
- Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Strong working knowledge of the benefits industry– (retirement and healthcare)
