Full-Time Senior Events and Community Engagement Manager

ActionAid UK – Posted by ActionAid UK London, England, United Kingdom

Job Description

Salary: £44,747 – £46,040

Permanent, full time role at 35 hours per week

Closing date: 20 February 2023

ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.

As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

It’s an exciting time to join the Events and Community Engagement team at ActionAid UK. Following a review of our public fundraising activity, we have plans to grow community and events fundraising by optimising our current programme, through innovation, and through incredible supporter journeys and experiences that deepen our fundraisers’ connection with our values and work.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Events, Community and Legacy Giving, you will lead on the development and implementation of events and community stewardship journeys and communications, working closely with other teams to ensure journeys and messaging are integrated. You will also be a key player in innovation projects aiming to reach new markets, and will be responsible for school, group and employee fundraising. You will commit to implementing our antiracist storytelling principles and feminist values throughout.

If you are an ambitious, confident and experienced events and community fundraiser, with a passion for excellent supporter experience, skilled at developing effective and motivating stewardship journeys, and naturally collaborative, then we want to hear from you.

ActionAid is committed to supporting flexible working. If you would like to discuss flexible working options, including the possibility of a job share for this role, there will be space to do so during the interview process.

We are committed to continually improving the diversity of our workforce and therefore encourage applications from people of colour, the LGBTQI+ community, the trans community, and those with a disability.
