PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant performs full cycle accounting activities for cash, accounts receivable & revenue, inventory, and fixed assets. During monthly close, the Senior Accountant prepares and reconciles the Wondr Health Reconciliations subject to review by the accounting manager and controller. The Senior Accountant is the subject matter expert for A/R and Fixed Assets and performs monthly billing and fixed asset procedures. The Senior Accountant will interact with all levels of employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform the day-to-day full cycle accounting activities including cash, accounts receivable, inventory and fixed assets
  • Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts ensuring transactions are properly recorded, including ownership of the monthly reconciliation file
  • Conducts a first round of review to ensure accuracy in transactions, journal entries, and schedules
  • Create and maintain fixed asset records in our accounting database and reconcile fixed asset schedules monthly
  • Assume full ownership of A/R and revenue for direct bill, including managing the Direct Bill A/R Aging and recording A/R correctly
  • Responsible for collecting outstanding balances in a timely manner and prompt application of cash receipts for Direct Bill invoices
  • Contribute to the development or improvement of accounting procedures and workpapers
  • Assist in mentoring junior members of the accounting team
  • Supports the annual financial audit by providing supporting schedules and documentation for external auditors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of General Ledger systems
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to process high volume of transactions and multi-task with little supervision
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, demanding environment requiring management of multiple, time-sensitive deliverables
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and proficiency with Excel
  • Proficiency in NetSuite is preferred 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 

Experience:    3+ years of accounting experience. A/R, Monthly Closing, Debt Amortization (Nice to have) 

GENERAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

General office working conditions can be remote work from home or in the office. Each department head determines if position is work from home or hybrid meaning works from home and in the office as needed. Work schedules vary. When working in the office pod workstation area has little or no privacy. Involves extended periods of sitting at a workstation performing computer duties. Constant flow of interruptions by personnel, visitors to the area and telephone calls. Private workstations are available as needed. Certain positions are assigned an office.
