Full-Time Quality Manager

The Role…

This role will manage a team of 2 executives and is responsible for making decisions in the best interest of our end consumers and our business. You will be responsible for Quality globally, from auditing third parties to overseeing in-house inspections and conducting quality improvement projects.

What you need to deliver…

• Review the QC inspection reports from the QC executive and take actions on any observed deviation

• Responsible for the QC inspection and the release of finished goods, ingredients and packaging

• Design and share QC protocol and review inspection reports from 3PMs

• Support the tracking, capturing and archiving of all information related to testing and stability studies

• Perform audits of external parties periodically (manufacturers, ingredients suppliers, packaging providers) – virtually and physically

• Project manage the scheduling of testing and stability studies

• Understand test results to escalate findings and suggest ways forward

• Design and validate product specifications with input from R&D and 3PMs

• Be the Quality lead for tackling urgent issues and new projects

• Report monthly performances of the team through KPIs

• Support the Lintbells sustainability initiative to collect and provide the required information internally and externally

• Implement the impact assessment, change control and CAPA processes

• Support the Regulatory team and wider Ops department as and when needed

What you need to succeed…

• Strong background in Quality in the food or feed industry

• People management experience

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment ideal

• Able to deal with ambiguity well, pro-actively seeking out solutions

• Being able to continually prioritise as things change, identify what makes a task urgent or important and decide which tasks must be tackled first

• The ability to use your initiative and work well under pressure

• A quick learner who is keen to increase their knowledge

• Good communicator to be able to collaborate and influence well within the business as well as dealing with external providers

• Strong attention to detail

• You drive to make things happen, using pragmatism and logic like a true ‘self-starter’

• You are enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude and willing to challenge the status quo
