The Violence Prevention and Support Coordinator (VPSC) is a key contributor to Boise State University’s efforts in preventing and responding to violence. This individual serves on a coordinated community response team, designs and facilitates interactive educational programs, and provides specialized, brief, no-cost, confidential support. Support services include case management, advocacy, resources and referrals, and reviewing rights and options. |
Job Summary/Basic Function: | Provide client-centered support services, valuable educational opportunities, quality supervision of peer educators, and strong leadership on relevant campus and community committees. |
Level Scope: | Fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action. May provide guidance and assistance to entry level professionals and/or support employees. |

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: |

Minimum Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree degree in a mental health background or related field and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience. Licensure as confidential mental health professional in the state of Idaho. Examples include: social worker, counselor, psychologist. |

Salary and Benefits: | Salary starts at $50,000 depending on experience.
