Brescia University College campus is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haundenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak and Chonnonton Nations. Manager, Prospect Research & Information Systems

 (Permanent Full Time Position)
Hourly rate – $40.15

 

The Manager, Prospect Research & Information Systems is a member of the Advancement team whose overall responsibility is to develop, implement and manage a prospect management system which will disseminate information of strategic importance to Brescia in order to enhance the ability of the Executive Director, development and alumnae relations staff, faculty and senior leadership to successfully acquire support for the activities of the institution. This includes managing all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database, conducting research, developing reports and supporting all fundraising operations.

Prospect Research:

  • Identify, research and qualify major gift prospects. Provide concrete recommendations to development staff on prospect strategy and priorities.
  • Devise strategies for obtaining new prospects in order to ensure the ongoing development, expansion and renewal of the prospect base.
  • Prepare detailed and up-to-date research briefings on prospects and/or groups of prospects for development staff, senior leadership and volunteers, in advance of calls and events in order to obtain optimal outcomes.

Prospect Management

  • Ensure relevant privacy standards are adhered to.
  • Responsible for growing the prospect pipeline through research.
  • Lead prospect review (peer screening) with volunteers for campaigns.
  • Collaborate with leadership, development staff and volunteers on pipeline management and activity.

Raiser’s Edge NXT Database Management

  • Effectively manage all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge NXT database which includes overseeing all gift processing, month-end reconciliation, completing all lists and data pulls for donor, alumnae and community communications, and producing a suite of reports to support and enhance Advancement activities.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Management is an asset.
  • Comprehensive expertise in Raiser’s Edge database, demonstrated either through a minimum of four years of work experience or Blackbaud Professional Certification.
  • Extensive investigative and research skills with experience preferably in a university advancement setting.
  • Sound general knowledge of fund development principles, as well as fundraising and communication strategies.
    Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
  • Ability to take full ownership of the database and research function to assist in building the overall capacity of the organization.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and synthesize data from a wide variety of sources, and present either verbally or in writing the resulting information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills with senior volunteers.
