One-time payout of  $10,000 (taxable) after 120 days of employment with Arclin.

Arclin USA is seeking talent for a Plant Engineering Manager job for our new Dillon, South Carolina location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this position is responsible for specifications and design of plant facilities, controls and equipment for the Arclin Production Facilities that will achieve the desired result in the most cost efficient manner while enhancing the environment, safety, quality, and long-term profitability of the facility. Responsibilities for the first 6-12 months will revolve around the preparation, setup, commissioning, and startup of the new facility.
Plant Engineering Manager Job Responsibilities:
  • The Plant Engineering Manager is the owner and accountable for all plant assets; responsible for controlling, tracking and reporting spending of the capital budget and the maintenance
  • Function as a project manager for capital projects
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards
  • Hire and supervise all resources in the maintenance
  • Analyzes and plans maintenance work force utilization, predictive/preventative maintenance, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
  • Provide technical advice on plant operations and improvements. Prepares engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection
  • Develop, evaluate and improve the manufacturing controls and automation utilizing knowledge of instrumentation, controls & automation, product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities.
  • Leverage automation and controls to institutionalize consistencies in production
  • Conduct, facilitate, and participate in PHA, PSSR, and HAZOP
Plant Engineering Manager Requirements:
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • 5+ years plant maintenance/engineering/project engineering experience in chemical or paper manufacturing
  • Programmable Logic Control, Distributive Process Controls Systems (DeltaV), HMI and Automation control systems
  • AB RS Logix 5/500/5000, Control Logix, Powerflex drive, HMI/SCADA, I-Fix, ParcView and DeltaV Batch
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated record of leadership, teamwork, adaptability, innovation and initiative
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility and the company
  • On call – carries a cell phone and responds to after hour emergencies
  • Ability to operate safely in a manufacturing environment; this may include, but is not limited to potentially lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods of time bending, crouching, stooping, rotating, climbing stairs, or any combination of the aforementioned, etc.
Preferred:
  • Experience in TPM, 6 Sigma, Lean, 5S
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience in PSM program implementation and maintenance
