Job Description

Serving the South Georgian Bay region Collingwood General and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is a 74-bed hospital serving more than 75,000 permanent residents and 3.5 million annual visitors to the south Georgian Bay community of Collingwood, Clearview Township, The Blue Mountains and Wasaga Beach – a thriving four season community with outdoor activities and indoor amenities that will appeal to all. CGMH is growing to serve rapid population growth in the region and is currently moving through the planning process on the modernization and expansion of the Hospital, which will result in a state-of-the-art facility to meet the growing health service needs of patients and families across the region. With roots dating to 1887, CGMH is committed to providing safe, effective, patient-centred care.

Reporting to the CEO the VP Corporate Services and CFO (VP-CFO) is a key member of the senior leadership team and a pivotal driver of the strategic plan.  With oversight of Finance, IT, Facilities, and several integral clinical teams, the VP-CFP plays a key role in the stewardship of the hospital’s financial resources and is responsible for overall strategic financial and information technology planning; including the hospital’s funding, budgetary and capital planning processes and the introduction of new technology to enable innovative service delivery.

The ideal candidate is collaborative and humble, and a team-focused leader who will mentor, support, and develop their team. You are hands on and lead by example, and value the importance of working closely with stakeholders across the hospital to find creative ways to address needs. You bring 10+ years of progressive responsible leadership experience, preferably in an acute care hospital setting, and a CPA designation. A visionary, you look for ways to address financial constraints with innovative solutions and pride yourself in working towards a client focused business partner model to ensure finance is seen as a tool and resource which supports the entire business. Exposure to the LEAN management philosophy and demonstrated ability to utilize LEAN tools to enhance performance is ideal.
