FTE: 1.0

Salary Range: $72,910 – $91,137

Essential Functions and Objectives:

Responsible for maintaining the operational and transactional responsibilities of the department. Manages the coordination of day to day activities of a specific business function. Primary emphasis is achieving results by building engagement and empowering their teams. May have exposure for district wide initiatives. 

Collaboratively coordinates, evaluates and manages the department of Social Work and Psychological Services, providing expertise and leadership in the area of social work and behavioral health supports. Works collaboratively and cross-functionally with other department staff, principals, school staff, community groups and organizations. 

Oversees social workers and school psychologists on the central team; ensures operational excellence of school psychologists and social workers, including performance reviews, coaching and professional growth; addresses areas of concerns.

Oversees staff hiring, on-boarding, assignments, etc.

Responsible for mental health and behavioral interventions; provides truancy court leadership.

Provides support and collaboration for District work around whole child and trauma informed practices.

Oversees Mental Health Pilot program.

Provides support for student safety work, as needed.

Organizes and provides professional development and training in support of department and division goals.

Collaborates in the management of department operations, budget, goals, programs, and strategic planning and in diagnosing department and central team needs using available data.

Provides supervision for the Department Leadership Team.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

Five (5) or more years of experience in Social Work is required.

Two (2) or more years of management experience is required.

Experience with organizational budget management and staff supervision is required.

Colorado Department of Education (CDE) License in Social Work is required.

Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail.

Self-starter/leader who can anticipate department needs in a proactive (versus, reactive) manner.

Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

Ability to effectively lead a team.

Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.

High degree of integrity in handling confidential information Preferred Knowledge of Response to Intervention approaches.

Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace.

Preferred knowledge in Spanish proficiency (reading, writing, listening, and speaking).

Education Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.

– CDE SSP license in School Social Work required.

– LCSW License preferred.
