Job Description

The Assistant, Customer Support – Member Services is a regular full-time position reporting to the Manager, Member Services.  This position assists the Member Services team in all areas associated with membership and events.  The Assistant, Customer Support – Member Services will provide customer service to internal and external customers and assist with the USAV member management system (MMS) and event management system (EMS).  Cross departmental support is a general expectation of all USAV employees. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. Travel is not expected of this role. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Provide timely and pleasant customer service to constituents (includes communication via phone, email and other platforms).
  • Provide support to USAV Regions and club personnel.
  • Responsible for receiving and responding to MMS and EMS help inquires.
  • Assist in answering general membership requests for internal and external customers.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and properly report system errors.
  • Compile membership and registration lists.
  • Verify participants in various USAV events meet the required membership and eligibility requirements.
  • Produce reports for various internal and external sources.
  • Process refund and discount code requests.
  • Provide phone coverage.
  • Test data systems and assist with data maintenance projects.
  • Test current and upcoming processes in USAV partner systems.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to staff, partners and customers of USAV.
  • Ability to utilize the following skills: active listening, problem solving, strong verbal and written communication and unflappable patience.
  • Possess intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience working in customer service positions is highly desired.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Self-starter with initiative and focus on details.
  • Experience working with database systems is a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and remain current.

Salary: $15.00/hr.
