Full-Time Suicide Prevention Services – Administrative Assistant, PT $21/hour
Job Description
This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Suicide Prevention Coordinator. Work week is Sunday-Saturday. Shift hours are 12m-6a, maximum of 24 hours per week (up to 4 days/week). $21.00 hourly.
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for Suicide Prevention Services, the Coordinator and national suicide prevention hotline coverage overnight.
Key Functions of the position include:
- Provide hotline coverage during shift hours of 12m-6a
- May actively train hotline volunteers in person or provide silent monitoring of calls during active training sessions
- Assist in identifying coverage gaps and the coordination and scheduling of hotline volunteers by electronic means, i.e., email, group text or postings
- May coordinate or schedule meetings by electronic means, as directed
- Review and maintain computer files and data, as directed
- Provide assistance organizing, printing, copying or assembling volunteer program training materials
- Monitoring and requisition of supplies, locating resources and maintaining overall cleanliness of the SPS Hotline office
- Assist with the implementation of special projects to research and compile data, procedures, methods and systems as requested
- Report issues requiring resolution through electronic means, as necessary
Requirements:
- High School Graduate (or equivalent)
- Steady consistency to arrive timely and fulfill duties assigned
- Willingness to complete Suicide Prevention program training requirements for preparedness
- Ability to maintain and demonstrate poise
- Computer experience
- Software experience with MS Office products, including email
- Organization skills
