Field Organizer 

Organize NH, the 2022 New Hampshire Democratic Party Coordinated Campaign, is hiring Field Organizers to implement statewide organizing priorities to help ensure Democratic victories across the state in 2022. Field Organizers will be responsible for recruiting and managing volunteer relationships, executing voter contact, and representing the campaign in their assigned communities. 

New Hampshire is a critical state in 2022 at all levels of the ballot – join us to reelect U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan, Reps. Annie Kuster and Chris Pappas, regain the governorship and state legislative majorities in next year’s elections, as well as build lasting progressive infrastructure. This position will report to a Regional Organizing Director and is based in New Hampshire. 

Your role’s responsibilities will include: 

  • Organize and execute events and volunteer opportunities across your assigned area. Recruit, manage, and train volunteers to participate in direct voter contact, including but not limited to door-to-door canvassing, high traffic canvassing, phone banking, and relational organizing. Build relationships with local activists, stakeholders, and organizations across your assigned area. Develop volunteer leadership teams to prepare for a robust Get Out the Vote period. Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Previous campaign experience is not required. 
  • Passion to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in New Hampshire. 
  • Flexibility and a willingness to problem-solve effectively and creatively. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. 
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, changing work environment. 
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle. 
  • Ties to New Hampshire are welcomed, but not required.

No calls, please.  Positions will be open until filled. This is a non-exempt position and is paid an hourly base rate of $15.36 and an overtime rate of $23.04 after staff exceed 40 hours worked. Field Organizers will start working six-day, 55-hour weeks, and hours are expected to increase closer to Election Day.
