Job Description

As a PLM Manager you will have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team to develop the product portfolio plan.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring that our portfolio is competitive and aligned with our business strategy.  The team you will be working with is very innovative and eager to develop exciting new technologies, and values helping our customers improve their health through quality sleep technologies.

So, what will you be doing as a PLM Manager?

  • Manage the 5-year Product Portfolio Plan and Product Lifecycle Management process and toolsets.
  • Monitor financial performance and market share by product lines and technology feature packages.
  • Monitor competitor product development activities, announcements, patents, and business development activities.
  • Interpret customer needs information from Request For Proposal (RFP) and Customer Surveys to shape the future Product Portfolio Plan to provide features and technologies our customers need.
  • Interpret warranty information provided by our Warranty Administration team as it relates to Product Portfolio Planning activities.
  • Manage product and part level data management

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or STEM field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the durable consumer goods industry in product development, sales, or strategic marketing roles.
  • Successful experience with analyzing raw data streams, developing logical conclusions, and applying strategic thinking skills to formulate winning product portfolio strategies.
  • Persuasive written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and lead strategic decision-making initiatives.

 

Things we consider a plus

  • An MBA is desired.
  • Prior work experience in Product Lifecycle Management or Portfolio Planning.
  • Experience in the home furniture or bedding industry.
