Job Description

So, what will you be doing as an Electrical Engineer?

  • Plan and implement electrical engineering projects, including defining the project, shop activities, test activities and technical specifications per internal and external customer requirements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop and test prototypes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to jointly develop new concepts, features, and products.
  • Ensure component introduction and change management activities are effectively completed and communicated.
  • Perform system tests to ensure engineering standards are achieved. Document test results, generate reports, and ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate and approve design changes, schematics, specifications, and drawing releases.
  • Review product design for compliance with electrical engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
  • Review UL standards and work with test laboratories on getting products certified.
  • Advise warranty, customer service and service tech personnel on best methods of repair or replacement of product.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

Education/experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE). Master’s degree will be a plus.
  • 2-3+ years of related engineering experience
  • A willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and to communicate and interact effectively with customers and suppliers
