With over 20 years of service, A Real Friend Dog Training is one of the leading training and behavior modification facilities in Austin. We are looking to add a full time kennel technician/assistant trainer to our team. We believe in relationship-based training and specialize in canine behavior modification for dogs with behavior challenges. At ARF, we are committed to increasing communication and deepening the relationship between dogs and their people.
We are looking for a self-motivated and hardworking person. The ideal candidate will have professional experience working with dogs. Proficiency in computer skills and customer service is a huge plus. This is a full-time position and involves working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
This position includes facilitating play groups, maintaining the kennel, and working with board-n-train dogs. A typical day will also include feeding and medicating dogs, bathing dogs and doing dog laundry, as well as cleaning and organizing the facility. A qualified applicant should be able to work both inside and outside during all seasons, lift 40+ pounds, and walk/hike with dogs.
