Full-Time Engineering Technician
Job Description
The City of Camas is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineering Technician. The individual selected for this position will perform technical level duties in support of the City’s development engineering and capital improvement engineering projects; and provide information and assistance to contractors, engineers and the public on the City’s engineering services and activities. The individual will primarily perform field construction inspections in all weather conditions and will be mainly in the field with occasional office duties.
The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The position is represented by the Camas Public Employees Association and is eligible for a full benefits package.
Candidates for this position shall have:
- Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college level coursework in engineering or a related field
- Two years of increasingly responsible technical engineering experience
- Experience in infrastructure construction such as water, sanitary sewer, and storm mains, roads, etc. is preferred
- Valid driver’s license
