About the Role: Digital Event Specialist

The Digital Event Specialist partners with internal and external stakeholders to create high-quality digital event experiences. The position provides full logistical and production support for digital events to meet organizational goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Executes online event tasks such as product setup in CRM, loading virtual rooms, assisting with live technical help, closing out the events, event documentation, and report distribution.
  • Manages the speaker liaison process, including speaker contracting, collection of marketing materials, PowerPoint collection, scheduling, and distributing course evaluations.
  • Maintains program management database accuracy and integrity through data input, template maintenance, and data audits.
  • Ensure online event attendees have a positive experience from registration through evaluation.
  • Ensure online event speakers and sponsors have a positive experience from inception to completion.
  • Works with external and internal stakeholders to collect and fulfill sponsored digital content package components on schedule.
  • Follows and updates timelines and processes.
  • Makes recommendations for process and quality improvements for online events.
  • Research timely webinar and virtual classroom strategies to drive better engagement, retention, and learning transfer
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of MGMA’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, exposure to Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, InDesign and InCopy.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a virtual events platform.
  • Displays analytical aptitude with a strong desire for continuous learning.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects while prioritizing accordingly in a time sensitive environment.
  • Strong critical thinking, customer service, problem-solving, computer and creative skills.
  • Strong understanding of data management and database utility.
  • Comfortable learning and working within multiple platforms such as an association-wide database, learning management system (LMS), webinar conferencing system, audio provider, and evaluation platforms.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to perform duties as a self-starter with much autonomy and independent judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize diverse tasks.
  • Ability to respond in a flexible manner to changing needs and priorities

Education:

  • An Associate degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Instructional Design or a related field is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Education, Instructional Design or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Two (2) or more years’ experience in providing business support and project coordination in an eLearning, online events or educational environment is required.

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
