Full-Time Software Developer

At Andgo Systems, Software Developers are part of a team who enjoy learning, teaching, and collaborating on growing and improving the Andgo platform. Reporting to the VP Product, this experienced candidate will help to shape the future of Andgo’s product and processes. Working with a Product Manager, a Technical Lead, and a fellow team of software developers, you will contribute to the development of new features through the full development and operations life cycle. Andgo is a SaaS product, and our feature development focuses on configurability, scalability, and user friendly design.

Experience with large enterprise organizations and how to integrate with systems they use, such as UKG Dimensions (formerly Kronos Workforce Dimensions) is a great asset.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working with a Product Manager and Technical Lead to design and implement product features in the Andgo platform.
  • Contributing to product development throughout the entire development life cycle.
  • Developing high quality software according to our team’s best practices and privacy & security guidelines.
  • Building tools to proactively monitor for performance and security issues.
  • Awareness of, and participation in, on-call situations and disaster recovery.
  • Contributing to the CI/CD pipeline and release management tools.

What We Absolutely Need

  • B.Sc in Computer Science / related Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Complete comfort with modern web development tools.
  • UNIX / Linux experience and familiarity with Python.
  • A track record of shipping and maintaining high quality working software.
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and make recommendations for future plans.
  • Ability to constructively work with a team; sharing, mentoring, and collaborating.  Accepting and giving feedback in a constructive way.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders in terms relevant to them.

Bonus Points for experience in these areas

  • Development experience with Django and DRF.
  • Modern Javascript development with React or similar.
  • Integrating with external systems using HTTP APIs.
  • Experience with application and database performance profiling.
  • Familiarity with DevOps as a methodology.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Docker / FreeBSD / Kubernetes / GCP / GKE
