MOBILE ENGINEERING MANAGER

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our team is looking for engineers who are passionate and excited about our mission. You will be leading a mobile development team, working closely with our product and design teams to build our consumer mobile experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of one of our mobile teams, being responsible for the people in that team and its delivery of features and enhancements
- Lead by example, be hands-on and set the standards
- Design and implement APIs working closely with the backend team to ship product efficiently
- Design, develop, test, refactor and scale mobile implementations of new and existing consumer product features
- Work closely with our product and design teams to launch new features
- Develop thoroughly tested code and conduct quality assurance on all new code alongside our QA team
- Collaborate effectively with other technology teams and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas
ABOUT YOU:
- Experience building complex native mobile applications
- Experience in leading a mobile development team
- You have a deep understanding of object-oriented design patterns and API design
- You care about quality and you know what it means to ship high quality code
- You have released at least one app on the App Store or Play Store
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
- Values team success over personal success
BONUS:
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or 5+ years in software development experience
- 4+ years building native mobile applications
- 3+ years experience of leading a mobile development team
