Full-Time Manager of Annual Giving

Job Description

Summary:

Reporting to the Associate Executive Director, the Manager of Annual Giving is responsible for cultivation, stewardship and relationship management for the Denver Health Foundation’s mid-level donors and prospects (those giving between $100 and $9,999 annually). The position will develop and execute stewardship, cultivation and solicitations strategies for current and prospective annual donors, including Denver Health employees through the annual employee giving campaign. The Manager of Annual Giving will adhere to nonprofit standards of excellence in fundraising and communication. This position will work closely with the Foundation Communications Manager to implement a direct mail program, e-solicitations program, the annual employee giving drive, and grateful patient outreach. With support from the Foundation’s Special Events Coordinator, the position will plan, execute and oversee special events related to fundraising and friend-raising. The position also includes managing relationships with in-kind contributors.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of techniques and best practices in annual giving stewardship communications (including email solicitations and social media strategies for online fundraising).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and effective presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team and to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Adherence to timelines, especially as they relate to delivery of stewardship, cultivation and solicitation pieces. Ability to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong analytic skills, and ability to apply strategic and creative thinking.
  • Exposure to/experience with annual and long-term planning and budgets.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and donor management programs.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to motivate and empower employees to perform to the best of their abilities.
  • Ability to be flexible, collaborative and catalytic.
  • Demonstrated passion for organization’s mission.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of individual fundraising experience with a proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of management experience required.

Pay Range:

Minimum: $48,027.20

Midpoint: $60,028.80

Maximum: $72,030.40
