Full-Time Voice Engineer

As a Voice Engineer you will have the opportunity to support existing telecommunications infrastructure in a large enterprise Cisco VoIP and Microsoft Teams environment. So, what will you be doing as a Voice Engineer?

  • Plan, design, provision, and implement a Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice solution
  • Plan, design, provision, and implement a Microsoft Teams global dial-plan
  • Migrate legacy voice infrastructure to Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice
  • Integrate Microsoft Phone System with legacy SBC, 3rd Party PBX, etc.
  • Provision and implement Teams Rooms (to include virtual and on-prem conferences)
  • Perform system analysis, which includes requirement definition, interfacing with business groups, and providing cost benefit analysis
  • Document issue resolutions and changes in system configurations that conform to ITIL best practices
  • Build and support new VoIP global infrastructure

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years design and implementation experience with Microsoft Teams Voice in an enterprise environment.
  • Microsoft Voice & Collaboration Solutions (MS Teams / Skype for Business, Telephony, etc.).
  • In depth knowledge of PBX, Gateway/SBC, PRI, etc.
  • Experience with utilizing network analysis tools to determine root cause of voice problems
  • Knowledge of IP protocols: TCP/IP, SRST, SIP, RTP, Codecs (G.711, G.729)
  • General understanding of QoS, MOS, and Jitter
  • Exceptional documentation skills to clearly articulate technical designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments
  • Awareness of the business impact of critical networking components
  • Able to work in fast paced, complex environments
  • Ability and desire to travel as required, to include internationally

Things we consider a plus

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Experience with Cisco Call Manager and Unity systems.
  • Experience in migrating and porting legacy phone infrastructure to VoIP
  • Experience with cloud-based VoIP solutions
  • Active CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CCIE Collaboration certification
