Full-Time Business Analyst

Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Business Analyst within our Product Line Development team to help support our Automotive  business.  Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry?  That’s right!  In fact, in 2019, we were named as one of GM’s “Supplier of the Year” recipients.  Our automotive products fall into four primary groups:  Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables.  If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Business Analyst you will have the opportunity to put your analytical skills to the test by providing insight and sharing critical business information to support both P&L management and growth opportunities.  Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by ensuring our production aligns with market trends.  The team you will be working with is collaborative, and values overcoming challenges and meeting goals.

So, what will you be doing as a Business Analyst?

  • Provide data driven basis for business decisions by collecting and analyzing information on KPIs, risks and opportunities. You will create insights into different scenarios, options, and impacts.
  • Analyze and prepare documentation for things such as:
    • Pricing for products and services
    • Potential production relocations or production automations
    • Make or buy decisions
    • Investments in product developments, Engineering changes and Capital Expenditures
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in our branches around the globe and across all functions to contribute towards:
    • P&L management to achieve the product line group’s Annual Operating Plan
    • Identification of growth opportunities to achieve our Strategic planning targets
  • As part of the global product business team – prepare and facilitate team meetings and follow up on action items

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of work experience within Finance in an Industrial Manufacturing Environment
  • Skilled at Communication & Cross Functional coordination
  • Work experience in international collaboration

Things we consider a plus

  • Master’s Degree in Business or Finance
  • 2+ years of work experience within financial planning and analysis role
  • 2+ years in program manager for product development programs
  • 2+ years of experience in the automotive manufacturing industry
