Job Description
Support Cellasto Chemical, Development and Process Optimization.
Wyandotte, MI
12 Months
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (days); rotating weekend work (1-2 hours)
***PRIOR EXPERIENCE OR EDUCATION BACKGROUND IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OR A TESTING BACKGROUND STRONGLY PREFERRED FOR THIS ROLE***
Primary Responsibilities
1) Static and dynamic testing of polyurethane foam material and part properties.
2) Accurately perform lab equipment metrology and preventative maintenance.
3) Lab preparation and testing of chemical formulations as part of product development, scale up and technical service processes.
4) Collect and analyze manufacturing process capability data.
5) Provide technical support for manufacturing process and product trials.
6) Compliance to corporate, site and plant safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
1) Either a minimum of 2 years college coursework in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related area OR a minimum of 2-4 years of experience performing testing in a lab.
2) Strong analytical and problem solving skills
3) Good organizational and planning skills
4) Strong oral and written communication skills.
5) Proficient in use of MS Office software (Word/Excel) and able to quickly learn and use internally developed software.
6) Appropriately and independently prioritize and organize project work and maintain accurate records.
7) Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, assignments and work schedule.
