Full-Time Street Equipment Operator
Job Description
The City of Oshkosh, WI is seeking to fill Equipment Operator vacancies. This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay range of $25.20 – $28.80 depending on qualifications. This position involves the maintenance and repair of streets and related infrastructure. Responsibilities involve the safe and efficient operation of light, medium, and heavy-duty construction equipment, as well as performing general maintenance and construction tasks. Specific duties normal for this position are:
- Performing street infrastructure maintenance and repairs.
- Performing seasonal operations such as plowing, salting, applying brine and hauling/removing snow; fall leaf collection and removing yard waste from the public collection site; and maintaining storm water ponds by cutting grass, removing brush and controlling erosion control.
- Performing equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
- Performing record-keeping tasks
Minimum Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a Class B CDL with no air brake restriction at time of application, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of two years of experience within the past five years in road construction repair and maintenance as well as operating motorized construction and maintenance equipment.
