PEMCO is seeking experienced senior level casualty/bodily injury adjusters to work from our Seattle or Spokane location. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Investigate loss facts promptly, including the gathering of physical evidence, to make accurate and timely liability decisions.
- Issue timely claims payments with a moderate level of claims payment authority; present files outside of authority level for review and approval.
- Negotiate the resolution and dismissal of claims, execute proper releases and address applicable liens, utilizing ADR methods when appropriate.
- Occasional CAT duty as needed
- Translate liability and damage evaluations into meaningful negotiation plans.
- Collaborate with other internal departments in recognizing and referring claims involving SIU, subrogation and salvage.
- Build rapport with policyholders, customers, agents, carriers, attorneys and vendors to facilitate prompt and accurate claim resolution.
- Apply case and statutory law in the proactive adjustment of moderately complex liability claims.
- Accurately interpret coverage experienced level contract, regulatory and compliance knowledge, following company file handling procedures.
- Effectively manage fluctuating workload, with low to moderate supervision, while maintaining focus on claims quality and customer experience.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with PEMCO’s policies, values, code of ethics and business conduct.

What You’ll Bring
- 6 years of experience in property and casualty industry related roles with increasing responsibility is required
- 4 years of experience in adjusting moderately complex liability claims
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (business or related field)
- Tableau experience
- Insurance industry designations or certifications
- Problem Solver: Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex unstructured problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively is required
- MS Office: Skilled proficiency in MS Visio is required
- MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word is required
- Compliance: Possesses knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations is required
- Customer First: Has a relentless focus on the customer and dives deep into the challenges they face with a strong customer service orientation
- Business Environment: Has a thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, and trends in growth and insurance environments; can spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly
