Full-Time Principal, Corporate Operational Risk
Job Description
The role will be part of the Corporate Operational Risk Management Reporting team and be responsible for generating the enterprise level Operational Risk analysis for BNY Mellon overall, integrating inputs from the businesses with inputs from other assessment teams including Compliance, Finance, Audit and regulatory feedback in a manner that will help Executive Management, the Board, regulators and the broader community understand the enterprise operational risk portfolio to inform strategic decision making.
The candidate will be responsible for interacting with a variety of constituents to understand information needs, to consider and propose alternative useful data sets based on their own control knowledge, and the ability to work with teams within and outside risk to develop, aggregate or obtain data for reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly coordination of Operational Risk metrics and reporting via analyzing data (e.g., trend analysis, supporting commentary, etc.)
- Assist Operational Risk Committee Corporate Secretary. Manage meeting calendar, materials, minutes, and follow-up items.
- Assist with developing strategic reporting approach and report formats, and drive execution and implementation of enhanced Operational Risk reporting.
- Coordinate related Operational Risk Management initiatives as necessary and manage ad hoc requests.
- Build relationships and actively collaborate across the organization
Qualifications:
- The candidate must have proven track record in operational risk and experience in risks and controls.
- They must have a proven track record developing senior management reporting.
- This person must be highly intelligent, mature, team-oriented, hard-working, and able to lead by example.
- The candidate must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of relevant Risk and Control experience in a corporate environment, preferably within financial services.
