About the role

Job type: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week, flexible working arrangements available)

Salary: circa £45,000

Location: Reading (with flexibility for remote working)

This is a really exciting time to join Education Development Trust, and we are now seeking a Technology Project Manager to join our growing Global Technology Solutions team.

The focus of the role will be on projects relating to the implementation of technology solutions to meet the needs of the business together with the management of IT projects to enhance or improve the infrastructure. The Technology Project Manager will be deployed onto technology projects / business improvement projects for periods of time to provide project management capability where required and to embed corporate project management processes.

To be successful in this role you will:

– have significant experience and a proven track record of managing and delivering
complex and large IT based projects
– have proven experience as a project manager in managing challenging performance
and integration issues
– have experience of successful project implementation within the context
of the impact of organisational process and system change together with effective
project dependency management
– have demonstrable skills in leading, managing and working in cross-functional project
teams
– have the ability to manage and work effectively with key stakeholders
– have excellent planning and organisational skills and effective communication skills;
written, oral and presentational. Specifically, the ability to communicate and liaise
between business users and IT professionals using non-jargonised language is
essential
– have highly developed IT skills including the use of Microsoft office and MS Project
– have a qualification / accreditation in the use of a recognised structured project
management methodology. Prince 2, Agile/Scrum etc
